SACC-Atlanta had the pleasure of welcoming four delegations to Atlanta for spring visitation programs in connection with the Entrepreneurial Days 2007 Conference. The delegations were from the logistics, ICT (IT, communication and technology), life sciences, and bioenergy industries. They came from Sweden to network and to educate people in the states about projects and progress within their respective industries in Sweden. SACC-Atlanta and its strategic partner, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, facilitated the program and arranged meetings with various companies as well as important organizations within the state of Georgia.
A lunch seminar was arranged for the bioenergy delegation that took place at the World Trade Center in downtown Atlanta. The keynote speaker during the seminar, Hans Gulliksson, spoke about the progress within biomass in Sweden, and attracted a good number of seminar attendees. In addition to promoting Swedish Entrepreneurial Days, the purpose of the visitation program was to create binds between Georgia and Sweden. The program shaped positive outcomes for future cooperation and exchange of ideas between the two locales. SACC-Atlanta, as well as the delegations, participated in the American E-Days April 2007 held in Chicago, and the Swedish E-Days in August 2007. Both logistics and bioenergy clusters will be prioritized at the upcoming conference in Savannah 2009. |
